Johnny G.

"I was blessed to have two loving, hard working parents and a cool little sister," said Johnny Gallegos about growing up in Tooele, Utah.  "My childhood was spent surrounded by a large, loving family who I miss very much."

Johnny G., finished high school in Tooele and, shortly after, moved to the Bay Area in California where he lived near the ocean.  There, his life was totally different.  He states that his life was an interesting duality of both a legitimate life and a life on the streets with only a backpack.  "I was able to see the good and the bad that big city living has to offer," Johnny noted.  But this was not his first time in California.  Throughout his youth, Johnny made several trips a year to Southern California with his parents on vacation to Los Angeles.  "It is a different world that's all its own," he said about LA.  And that's exactly what would spark the birth of his Art career.

The beach, "surf culture", Lowriders, Hot Rods, motorcycles, and "weirdos" were all elements that Johnny loved and which began to influence the way he would later visually express himself.  He experimented and continues to work with all mediums and attributes his creativity as a gift.  Art, however, is not the only aspect of his life.

"I'm proud of the constant struggle my life has been," Johnny says.  "Every day holds personal victories."  There are other great moments in Johnny's life too.  He enjoys many hobbies, experiences camping, tournament fighting, and numerous other things.  It's been those events and moments that have prompted him to consider himself a sort of "Jack of All Trades" - even a "Master" of some he believes.

Johnny G. completed his Tattoo Apprenticeship in Utah and has been professionally tattooing for two years.  He looks forward to continuing to learn and improve his skills so that he can provide the best tattoo and tattoo experience that he can.  Joshua Carlton, Joe Capobianco, the Pizz, and Tony Ciavarro are among just a few of the Artists and Tattoo Artists that have influenced his professional works.

Shasta, Johnny's wife, is accredited with being his Muse.  "She's beautiful, supportive, and her style and likings match mine," he said about her.  Together they have two children who are their world.

Outside of his life as an Artist, Johnny is the Vice President of the Bandidos M.C. in Salt Lake City.  "It allows me to have the largest extended motorcycle family worldwide," Johnny proudly states.  "I love to spend time with my Brothers, riding thousands of miles a season - some in the Winter.  We integrate these experiences into our own families and the endless travel that it entails.  I guess you can say I have the best of both worlds!"
